March 23, 2011 – Richard and I felt the Lord leading us to begin our adoption for our little girl in China through China’s SN program. Filled out application online with Lifeline Adoption Agency in Birmingham, AL.
April 21, 2011 – Home study update with One World Adoption and our AMAZING home study coordinator Donna Kennedy Booth. EXCITED that Lifeline is going to let us use Donna as our home study coordinator again!
April 27, 2011 – Medical appointments completed!
May 5, 2011 – Officially accepted into the Lifeline China program!
May 19, 2011 – Birth certificates finally arrived…another thing checked off our home study list!
SO CRAZY momma has been getting things done but forgets all the dates we did them on!!!!!! BUT sweet girl…we’ve worked on them ALL summer because we can’t WAIT to get you home!!!!
September 15, 2011 – We have almost EVERYTHING done for our home study!! Just 2 more things to get and then we’ll turn in the paperwork to our home study coordinator!!!!
November 2, 2011 – Our FINAL home study visit!!! Everything is DONE…and our home study can now be written…then off to USCIS for immigration!
ON HOLD – Detour begins…
After much prayer, Richard and I decided to place our adoption on hold. So…while this journey might pick up and continue in a month…it may also pick up in 5 years. We don’t know what the days ahead hold–or all the whys to what He calls us to–but we rest knowing and trusting the One who holds our future. Until then…we are seeking Him each day, resting and waiting–and following Him on every bend and turn…
